It's an in-thing in movies to have beard these days?
Anyhow, Donnie Yen is also a killing tool like other 14 Blades initially, until a twist of events.

Appending Polished Blades to 14 Blades
-- 14 Blades --
In 14 Blades, the Imperial Guards are raised and trained to be ruthless killing machines since childhood, to execute whatever questionable orders from the Imperial Court or Emperor without questions, and Green Dragon (Donnie Yen), being the most highly skilled of them all, is no exception.
Each of them possesses a chest containing 14 blades, and the Imperial Guards would use different weapons under different situations, with 8 being used for all forms of tortures, and another 5 for killings, and the last one for hara kiri. And they are also experts at psychological warfare, negotiating or weakening the enemies' minds in order to accomplish their missions.
But deep within his heart, there's still an iota of conscience left in Green Dragon, who begins to question its motives and runs away from the organisation while being hunted down, when he discovers a big conspiracy as an evil eunuch gains control of the Imperial Court and Imperial Guards.
While on the run, Green Dragon becomes acquainted with Qiao Hua (Vicki Zhao), daughter of the chief of an Armed Escort Agency. Initially, like all Imperial Guards do, he's merely making use of her. However, he gradually falls for her while she finds out that she's being made use of.
Under director Daniel Lee's invitation, several veteran martial arts stars, Chen Kuan Tai, who plays one of Donnie Yen's greatest nemesis, Wu Ma, Sammo Hung, Xu Xiang Dong, Chen Zhi Hui, etc. will also be making guest appearances in the film, giving Donnie Yen, who sprained his knee on the set a few weeks back in Hengdian, a field day in fighting.
Other cast members include Kate Tsui, who would be playing an assassin, and Qi Yu Wu, who plays an Imperial Guard who betrays his buddy Green Dragon in order to climb up the social ladder.
14 Blades has just moved location from Hengdian to Yinchuan, and due to the incredibly hot weather as a result of global warming, the cast members who are wearing layers of thick clothing would sweat till their costumes are soaked. To combat heat, the production would transport ice cubes and ice water to the set and employ huge fans to cool the surroundings.

Unfortunately for us, global warming could be much more serious and urgent than we have thought to be.

Or...it could be the biggest lie commonly believed since people thought the earth was flat and you'd fall off the edge if you went too far. Or...the popular belief in the 70's that an ice age was just around the corner.

Or it could be the biggest calamity that we'd be facing, unless mitigated in time.
Otherwise, Dr Rajendra K. Pachauri, who speaks actively on climate change, won't be re-elected to a second term as the chairman of Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change last year.
Otherwise, the government around the world would have denounced anything on it instead of trying to go green. But still, they're slow to take actions, perhaps they're too concerned about the economic impact.
Some are even trying to fight for the control of undersea oils as ice melts, rather than worrying about the huge storehouse of toxic gases that could be released as a result.
The NASA ICESat data speaks for itself. How much ice has receded in the past 4 years? Worst still, it's a process that feeds on itself, with accelerated melting as more ice melts and rising temperature.

BTW, the world is flat indeed. When you're at World's End, you would fall off the edge along with your ship to the other side of the world, where the dead lives. (I'm already hearing some bird chirping the dead doesn't "live", they're essentially dead.
) The only way to get back is by rocking your ship until it capsizes and gets sucked into the sea before being spat out onto mortal side of the world.
Or it's actually flat and round. The world is actually a huge disc resting on the back of a giant turtle.

I think your second post with the turtle made much more sense than the first.

New photo of Donnie Yen as Qing Long. He mentions in the article that he has many fight scenes in 14 Blades compared to his recent movies over the years...

Really cool looking. But I'm agreeing with DiP. Donnie doesn't sound overly enthusiastic about this movie. It's about the way he talks when it's just a fill-in until he's doing something better.
