Great to hear that. For the sake of choreography (since Donnie only gets one proper fight with an actual martial artist), I hope they turn out good.

Skimmed through some of the fight scenes yesterday. I loved the choreography (more so than B&A)! 14 Blades should win that award.

I lowered my expectations for this movie considering Daniel Lee was the director and it turned out to be quite entertaining. I think general audience will find this to be a passable action flick while wuxia fans would enjoy this.

It's nice to actually see a proper wuxia movie in its original true definition which we've not had for some time (rather than historical/war/army stuff coming out lately) and it actually had the feel of the 'early-90s' wuxia movies. There was quite a few action scenes throughout and the fight scenes themselves wasn't bad considering some of the main actors aren't martial artists. For a Donnie movie, I enjoyed it a little more than his recent period movies, Empress & the Warrior and Painted Skin.

Not among his best works but it's very good indeed. Would rate it slightly higher (except for the action, of course) than Flash Point on the whole.
