I held back on posting this news because I weren't 100% sure what it was on. Then it became clear that Donnie has received nominations for the GOLDEN DEER awards, as part of the Changchun Film Festival.

This is the 9th award ceremony/festival and movies nominated are those produced between 30 June 2006 - 30 May 2008. The award presentations will take place on 6 July

I must say without sounding harsh that this award festival doesn't sound too prestigious just by looking at the nominees. I've only heard of this Golden Deer Award like once ever.

I'm thinking the same thing Maz...just by looking at the nominations...I wonder if it's for a certain kind of film...because while I like Fan Bingbing...I didn't think her portrayal in FP was anything mind blowing.

The movie 'Heart of Ice' was the dark horse taking 4 awards becoming the big winners... for some reason, the Sina nominations I posted didn't include this movie in it's nominations list.

I wonder if it's default text that inserts when a board is restricted.  Despite that it's set up that only a few can start new topics and members in general can reply...

I'll have to poke around the code and see.  But I bet it's supposed to act like a reminder text to that effect.
